Visible Action Of Invisible God: From Author's Diary.

44 : VISIBLE ACTION OF INVISIBLE GOD: FROM AUTHOR'S DIARY

A memorable event from author's personal diary is now presented below. It was about a natural disaster in Bangladesh: the drought of 1979, the worst of its kind in nation's history. For about 8 months, there was not even a single drop of rain. People suffered badly for shortage of drinking water, failure of crops and scorching heat. When their sufferings were at the worst, they turned to divine help. Throughout May and first half of June, they were organizing numerous congregations of special prayer named (Ijteska) across the country. They also included minors in such prayers, hoping their apparent innocence would help win divine favor for rain. Still there was no change in the weather and people were vainly looking for patches of cloud in the horizon.

This situation continued on until a special night around mid-June arrived when suddenly the thunderous sky burst into torrential rain in 8 districts altogether out of total 19 for the country at that time. Now the question is: what happened on that defining moment that made a sharp line of difference between total dryness ('0' rain) the previous day and heavy rain making the nation wet the next day. To all appearances, this cannot be explained without involving the role of God. In all probability, on the eve of that night at least one supplication for rain out of so many congregations was accepted by God. This was apparently possible after some communal sins were erased through drought related sufferings and/or He decided to please his one or more beloved participants in special prayers.
